Yassaman Mohsenzadeh

Jewelry Designer

Mohsenzadeh has been inspired by modern architecture, the interplay of the tension between full and empty space, the chaos and order inherent in some of its best examples.

Bridges and motorways, especially viewed from above in all their labyrinthine glory, were the inspiration behind one of the series of rings in the collection, which are all unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Colour is an essential element in her design, whether by combining sterling silver with semi precious stones, or by oxidising silver with different techniques to bring out a myriad of unique and ethereal colours from the silver itself.

Mohsenzadeh's path to this point however, has been a very circuitous one, encompassing a PHD in Critical Theory from University of Sussex and training in 3D design at Central St Martin's. These experiences give her work an eclecticism and perspective that it would have otherwise lacked.

Her pieces are currently in private collections in the United States and Europe.
