Devison's recent work interrogates the notion of authenticity and the contingent nature of meaning. His work addresses its relationship to historical antecedence through a process of reverent corruption, through which source material is dislocated, erased and overwritten. The result is often a palimpsest of found invented and appropriated images located in an unstable field.
