Artist Statement:
My work addresses personal ideas about the figure. Exploring themes of isolation, vulnerability and unease. I am curious about spaces that contain and hold the figure. Essentially I used my own body; capturing forms within spaces using lens based media and drawing. The female figure is central to my ideas and focus. The body is depicted most often in isolation, intensifying its fragility. What interests me is the relationship between exterior and interior sensations.
